A key component of many Quandel projects is an operational analysis of combined passenger and freight traffic in a shared rail corridor. Where the corridor includes multiple tracks, crossing traffic, frequently scheduled passenger service, dense freight operations and high speed passenger service, a sophisticated simulation model is required to evaluate capacity and optimize operations in the corridor. Quandel uses Berkley Simulation Software’s Rail Traffic Controller for such applications.
