Case Description

Project Description

Quandel Consultants developed an order of magnitude capital cost estimate for a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) option and a Light Rail Transit (LRT) option that would provide service between the McNamara Terminal at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and the Michigan Accelerated Passenger Rail Line with a connection at either Merriman Road or Henry Ruff Street. Quandel produced alignments, typical cross sections, and order of magnitude capital costs for the BRT and LRT service options.

Services Provided

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industrys standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
  • Planning Quandel developed a two-lane dedicated Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) alignment and a single/two track Light Rail Transit (LRT) alignment that would connect the McNamara Terminal at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and the Michigan Accelerated Passenger Rail Line approximately 6 miles north of the Terminal. Using capital costs from constructed and/or planned BRT projects in the Minneapolis, MN area and LRT projects in the Detroit, MI and Spokane, WA areas, Quandel estimated infrastructure, equipment, and right-of-way costs for the two service options.
