- Bridges and Structures This existing concrete deck was severely deteriorated, largely spalled with exposed reinforcing bars, and leaking excessively. Substantial steel replacements and rehabilitation had been completed under previous contracts. Quandel was contracted to investigate the best method to replace the existing concrete deck and protect the newly rehabilitated steel superstructure while maintaining rail traffic on two of the three tracks.
